Well known as a Cape Town Food and Lifestyle Photographer, his work has been extensively used by various South African retailers, marketers, publishers and food magazines. This workshop is targeted at all aspiring photographers looking to improve and broaden their own food photography knowledge and skills. Learn the essential elements needed to create mouth watering food images. Capture outstanding, vibrant and well lit shots, that separate you from the crowd. Bruce aims to improve your understanding of fundamental Food Photography principles. Building on this foundation you will be given practical demonstrations as well as the hands on opportunity to style, light, shoot and process your own food images. Graduating from CPUT, with a National Diploma in Photography, Bruce’s journey began as a photographic assistant, working for various local and international photographers, all the time gaining valuable insights into his craft. Bruce soon built up his own commercial portfolio and client base and has subsequently spent the last 13 years shooting for various Retail, Food, Wine, PR and Editorial clients. Holding a well-known reputation, Bruce has had the opportunity to work with some of the countries top chefs, shooting content for both commercial use and editorial spreads. In addition to his editorial contributions for clients like the Sunday Times and Food And Home Entertaining, Bruce’s involvement as the photographer, for the 2014 Gourmand World Cookbook Award winning ”Life on a Cape Farm” written by Lesley & Louise Gillet from Bartholomeus Klip, has been met with excellent reviews and has been well received within the lifestyle and food photography communities.
